Bottega Limoncino 21% 50cl

Limoncino Bottega was born from an encounter between Sandro Bottega, a Venetian soul with a cosmopolitan vocation, and a true Sicilian spirit, a local producer deeply attached to the land of Syracuse and its fruits, lemons. The encounter took place one September afternoon during a walk among the cultivated slopes of lemon trees in bloom overlooking the sea near Syracuse. This encounter gave rise to the idea of combining the two souls, “Venetian” and “Sicilian”, in a limoncello, or rather, in Limoncino Bottega: a symbol of the deepest Italian tradition and passion for the land and its fruits in an ideal journey from the north to the south of Italy. The unique touch is the addition of Bottega grappa - a traditional distillate from Nothern Italy - which enhances the taste of lemons and at the same time makes Limoncino incomparably smooth on the palate. It is the perfect combination among sweetness, acidity and slight bitterness. Bottega only uses the yellow part of the peel: like a casket containing all the aromas, it is later opened by the infusion process. Its aromaticity embraces the lemony scent at every sip. This version - called 21 - has a moderate alcohol content (21%) compared to the standard one (30%). This makes it ideal on its own, to be sipped chilled after a meal, it also pairs well with ice creams, sorbets and fresh fruit salads. Excellent as an ingredient in mixology. Fancy a fresh aperitif?
