Aberlour is a renowned Scotch whisky distillery located in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, Speyside. Introducing one of only three Global Travel Retail Exclusive aged expressions to be released. “Suthainn" means 'everlasting' in the Gaelic language, a name that captures the essence of the solera where each batch of Suthainn includes a portion of the previous one. Our makers mature the whisky in two different types of casks: American oak casks bringing notes of vanilla and toffee, and Oloroso sherry casks imparting spice and richness. They retain part of the whisky in American and Spanish oak sherry casks with a portion of the previous batch, for an extra sherried richness. Our makers call it 'solera reserve’. When the time comes, our craftsmen skilfully bring our solera reserve together with our classic double cask matured single malt. An art requiring dedication and years of expertise to achieve the continuity of depth and flavour. The green design truly resonates the natural beauty of the Scottish Highlands and this notable to the influence the production throughout distillation with the freshwater spring, the Lour, from which the distillery draws its crisp pure water from.
